Amorite knew he was in deep shit, like, he didn't think he could honestly dig himself deeper. Yet he would try. Amorite straightened his back up and tried his best to stare down the very intimidating man, "You..." He said slowly, "Are afraid that one day you'll wake up and realize you're all alone in this world. That nobody here loves you..." He took one careful step forward, feeling the sweat roll down his forehead as he said, "And if you drag me out of here like some child I'll never forgive you. That world will be a reality."
Amorite held his breath and braced for whatever Lee intended on him.

Frankly the kid hit it right on the head. Lee would never admit it but he hated the thought of dying alone. However that fear had come true, other then Amorite he had nobody close to him. So, he had an ultimatum now, walk away and save his last relationship, or stick to his convictions. It was a pretty easy choice to make. He stepped up to Amorite, "Then so be it." he growled, grabbing Amorite by the back of his shirt, and pulling him with him.
"I tried to reason with you, I tried not to embarrass you in front of all of your friends, but, curse the fucking eight this is obviously what you want." Lee ranted, pushing the stunned party goers out of his way.

"Curse you and your rules!" Amorite fought pointlessly as Lee dragged him, "I won't bow to your commanding way, I'll remain unbent and unbroken!" He declared as if he were being dragged away by the government. Locking eyes with Alala (who seemed to be giggling at the entire sight) Amorite continued his speech, "Alala, I'll find you. I promise!"
As soon as Lee pulled him out of the house and slammed the door Amorite's tune suddenly shifted a great deal. "O-okay, stop pulling me already will ya? Jeez shows over, I'll come home without fight!" Amorite said as if the entire display in there was some type of show... which it kinda was, he had a rebellious image to uphold after all. He couldn't be seen getting dragged away without a fight.

"All right pipe down Romeo." Lee growled as they exited the building. Out of the public eye Amorite's theatrics had ceased. Yet it had appeared Amorite forgot who Lee was, "Did you get hit in the head real hard or have you just been getting into mana? Because it seems you've forgot who you're dealing with. I gave you several, several chances to back down, but no, you had to push my buttons didn't you?" Lee had zero tolerance for this teenager acting out bullshit, years he spent taking care of his little brother for him to decide he is the enemy? Nope, that wasn't going to go. Lee kept dragging him down to where he parked his truck.
Even though the words were probably lost on him, he continued, "Oh you're in it now, starting tomorrow there will be no friends over at the house, you will be going to and from school nothing else because you're grounded for a month with dish duties!" He let go of Amorite at the passenger side of the truck. "And before you start with the whole 'You're being so unfair!' routine you best hold up, because I a'int even done yet. All your precious little make up? I'm taking it away for-you guessed it, a month."
He opened the truck door, "Get in the car. Now."

"Oh yeah?" Amorite scoffed as Lee pulled him along, "You can tell me what to do and take my shit away but you'll never break me, man." He held his hand up and in a quick second he burst into a puff of smoke, escaping Lee's grasp. But instead of flying out of sight Amorite in fact flew right into the truck and reformed into his seat, legs crossed and a stupid smile on his face. He was merely making a point that Lee couldn't drag him around anymore.
"I'm just way too pretty to keep down, pops." Amorite probably thought himself invincible. He knew Lee would never physically hurt him, he may have been a bad dad but he wasn't a TERRIBLE dad.

If there was one thing Amorite was a master at it was getting on Lee's nerves, "For the love of gods." He growled. Lee got into the old truck, inserting the key the truck roaring to life, "How man damn times do I have to tell to not use your...abilities in public?" Lee buckled in, "Is it your attention to get us both locked up? Or do you not care?" He didn't start driving just yet, "I guaran-damn-tee you that prettiness a'int gonna do shit there."
"It was bad enough you got that thing" he was talking about the tattoo, "Now you go about flaunting it like it's fucking royalty. You keep those damn powers hidden. This is not a debate." Lee ordered.

"They couldn't get me if they wanted," Amorite scoffed arrogantly, "They're just... people, man. I have powers! And why shouldn't I flaunt this thing? It's who I am, history runs through my veins, Lee. My... my mother died because of who she was and I won't let that just fade away..." His eyes grew faint for a moment as he tried to remember that day but he often had difficulty pulling up what actually happened and the nightmares that plagued his childhood.
He crossed his arms over his chest and directed his view outside the window. "I hate this city and I hate the people who control it. Thelotians or To Chamenians hardly have any history but they happily will destroy ours..." Amorite might happily forget that his father was 'normal' but of course Amorite never knew the man, it was easier to get through the day thinking there was a lot of like minded people out beyond the city. Even if his vision of the Skotadi Tribe was all fantasy and no reality.

"Your mother was a smart women, she wouldn't want you dying just to preserve some history!" Lee yelled, "That tattoo isn't who you are. Not in the slightest, and you're not special because you have it, it doesn't make you better then the rest of us, you're just human being like the rest of us." He put the truck into drive and pulled out of the driveway, "These people? they aren't ordinary cops from some two bit percent. These a professionals trained to capture or kill people like you. They do this everyday and you? you won't be any different."
"You're reckless, juvenile! You don't care, you don't, you don't care that you put yourself, your friends, and even me in danger to preserve some goddamn history that you don't know jack about!" He glanced at Amorite to see if any of this was making it through to him, "When will you figure out that the choices you make have consequences? This isn't some game Amorite, this is real life. You don't get a second shot at it. So open your fucking eye's because you're throwing yours away because you have romanticized the outlaw life! You think being on the run, watching your back, fighting the government is fun? Let me tell you something I have lived that life, I have killed, stolen more then you can ever imagine from good regular people. I have fought and killed the police, I have started riots, and I have killed for no other reason then 'you pissed me off.' I am the scum of the earth, I've seen things-done things that no man should. That life a'int fun, or noble, or great. Nobody will love you for it. That life is hell. Lonely, cold, goddamn hell."

Amorite wrapped himself closer together and sunk down in his chair as his gaze kept focused outside. His eyes glistened with tears as Lee's voice rose and frustration boiled over. What do you know, you're afraid! You and everyone in this city ALLOWS the government to hunt our people. You're afraid of death and you refuse to see the piling bodies, you... you COWARD.' Amorite so badly wanted to scream that at Lee and make him understand but... but the truth was Amorite was just as frightened and not just by Lee; he feared what would happen if he was afraid of what they would do to him.
But Amorite was determined not to let fear control him. There would be no change if everyone remained the docile little stooges and Amorite was nobody servant. "I'm..." he finally found his voice, admittedly much weaker and less arrogant, "I'm an adult. The choices I make our mine... besides, this isn't a life worth living. Why settle for this? There is SO much more to life and... and people here are just wasting away."

"Oh so now you're an adult? Is that how this works, when it comes to buying your own clothes, your own food, and helping out with the monthly rent you're just a child. But, when it's about personal freedom to pursue goddamn idiocy suddenly you're a fucking adult. A goddamn miracle of life." The car blew past a stop sign so fast Lee probably didn't even see it, "No...No I reckon we a'int living, but we are survivin' goddamnit. That's the best you get in To Chameno." That was it, Lee voice gave out. A solid five minutes of yelling and Lee had spent all he had.
Lee eased off the gas pedal and slowed the rusted deathtrap down to a safer speed. Going eighty in a neighborhood was drawing more attention to himself than he ever wanted. He thought about saying something else, something apologetic. Something like, 'I understand what you're going through, but what you're doing is making both our lives worse.' But, that wasn't who he was. Lee could never find it in him to say the right words. He wondered if Amorite even knew he was only yelling because he cared? Probably not.

Tears were stinging Amorite's eyes and he decided simply to stay silent and ignore Lee's words with utter contempt. His gaze stayed steady as they crossed through neighborhood on route towards their home. Lee was a coward and afraid, he tried to act tough but in the end he was no better than anybody else in this city. It was because of people like him that the government got to do whatever they wanted to this city...
Police brutality, officials lining their pockets with tax-payer's money and nobody was doing anything about it. People froze to death on the streets every night and nobody gives a damn. How could everyone be so blind?
As they pulled up to the house Amorite was out the door of the truck as quickly as Lee pulled to a stop. He couldn't argue with Lee anymore, because truth be told he was fearful of the man's yelling. Not that he actually believed Lee would ever physically hurt him, but the yelling always shook him and Amorite couldn't stand the look of Lee's face any longer.
He marched into their home and aimed straight to his room, finally stopping short of the door and looking back towards Lee, "You're wrong though... we aren't surviving. We're just dying slower then most." He stepped into his room, not bothering to close the door because he knew Lee wouldn't allow him - punishment for sneaking out. Amorite didn't care anymore, after this entire mess he (in a very teenage style) just wanted to curl up and die in the corner of the room. At least then it would spare him the curse of continuous life in this city.

Lee folded his arms, he didn't feel like retorting, what difference would one more sentence make? It would fall on deaf ears anyway. Lee could mark it up to Amorite just being a dramatic teenage, angst and all that. Fact was, there were some truth to his words. Their life was hell living in constant fear of the government, freedom was a distant memory. Hell, at this point Lee wouldn't be surprised if he woke up to the sounds of soldiers storming his home again. He wasn't a coward, he wasn't afraid of dying, he had long since shook that fear away. He was afraid of getting Amorite killed, everyone else close to Lee has died, Karr, Alena, Amorites mother, why should he be any different? "We'll discuss this further in the morning." Lee spoke softly before stepping down the hall to his room.
Lee left his door cracked and laid against the cool sheets of his bed. His temper was cooling, a deep heavy sigh escaped his lips gazing up the ceiling. The night had went from shit to fucked up and to say he handled it poorly would be a terrifying understatement. He wasn't cut out for this, he wasn't made of the things necessary to be father, he had no example to follow, he had no one to tell him where to improve. He was flying blind in the fog with zero flying experience, "...Ten years you've been gone and I still don't have a damn clue what to do." He muttered closing his eyes, recalling his wife's smiling face, "What would you do, Alena? You always had the answers." He felt a lump in his throat, his closed tightly, "Gods be damned girl, I miss you." It had been a long troubling night, Lee couldn't fight off sleep any longer. Slowly and uncomfortably he drifted into sleep.

Amorite sat in his bed, staring up into the darkness with a blank stare on his face. This room was a cage, this city was a cage and he had no chance of escaping... but did he? He felt a growing ache in his chest, a yearning for freedom and he knew Lee would never let him have that. There was so much to see in the world! Amorite wanted to see Thelotia, he wanted to see if Ellusian girls were as pretty as they said, he wanted to see the Land of the Independent and see if the Uur were truly as tall as everyone said!
He wanted to free his city. He wanted the Thelotian scumbag officials out of the city and for a true democracy to once again reign in the city. But none of that would happen here... he had to go, and truly go this time... cut off from his friends so that Lee would never find him...
And he needed to go now. Even if the nights in To Chameno could get deadly cold he would find a way to survive. Amorite moved off his bed softly, having memorized every creek in the old house he moved to gather what he needed, tossing spare clothes into his backpack before hoisting it over his shoulder. He moved to the window, knowing he could sneak out with his powers without making any sort of sound... but he would leave a message first, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his cellphone (wouldn't be needing this anymore) and then wrote a simple note...
'Life is for the living and you've been dead for a long time. I won't be like that. Goodbye.'
With that Amorite moved to his window, the tattoos on his arm humming a soft light. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if this was truly the right move, but that was only for a moment. He burst into smoke and moved through the cracks in the house quickly, reforming out into the now freezing streets. "Seeya later, bro." Amorite gave his former residence the middle finger before darting down the streets.
It was time for him to live his life.
