Amorite fondly remembered sitting on the top of a building and throwing Thelos to the crowd below. They welcomed him as a hero.
"ANYWAY, there's a group I've been working alongside, and Lee? I think this is a real deal, we're gonna do something to change the lives of all those who live in the city... but we could really use someone with your 'skillset'."

I remembered the event somewhat differently, yes the part about him being on top of a building throwing down torn Thelos to the crowd below was true, but, instead of putting him on a throne, they yelled obscenities up at him, "The wealth was void." I corrected.
I chuckled, "This group is the real deal, huh?" I leaned forward, "they gonna change the lives of the people in this city?" I didn't believe that bull shit, how could anyone? nobody, no group, does anything for anyone in To Chameno, they are just going to use him.

"No." I wiped my mouth with a napkin and stood up, "And neither are you." I picked up all the dishes and brought them over to the sink to be washed, It's not the changing of peoples lives I disagree with, it's the other motives this gang will probably have.

"Neither... am I?" Amorite repeated with a small chuckle of disbelief, sitting up from his chair he turned to face Lee, "Perhaps you've forgotten, but you can't tell me what to do. Not anymore."
Amorite bit his lip as his mind raced to try to convince Lee otherwise, "Lee, come on, this is not some bullshit as before - this is the real deal! Come on, we can truly do something great here!"

"This IS the same bull shit as before! how can you be so naive when you've grown up in To Chameno!" In midst of my yelling, I lost my grip on one of the dishes I had in my hand and accidentally threw it into the wall, "...Shit!" I let out a frustrated groan, and took a deep breath, then turned back to Amorite.
"Listen- just listen, how do you know these guys aren't using you? how do you know that they don't plan on using you as a scapegoat? God knows your a perfect candidate!" I was shouting again, I took another deep breath in a futile attempt to calm down, "How are 100% sure they aren't using you?"

Amorite tried to hold his ground, but his older brother was a frightening beast and when the plate smashed against the wall that caused him to flinch. But all sense of fear left with Lee's words, replaced with a feeling of anger.
"Whoa - whoa, wait a second. I'm the perfect candidate, huh?" He chuckled again, "Is that really how you feel? That I am THAT naive?"

I wanted to scream, if it was even physically possible steam would be coming out of my ears, "STOP!" I sat down, "Just. stop."
I was breathing heavy, the energy that I gained from those few hours of sleep had been exhausted, "No, the answer is no, I will not lend my 'skill set', and as long as I'm alive I will not let you- I will not allow you to help some gang." I propped my elbow up on the table and leaned into, "Doing this kind of shit will bite you in the ass."

There was a long silence that seemed to hang between the two, Amorite didn't speak, he just stared blankly at his brother before finally saying, "Look around you," Amorite started, motioning to outside, "See all that filth and depression? This is the result of not the government's forces, but people like you - people who have the ability to do real good... but are too damn afraid."
With that Amorite turned towards the door, stopping only for a moment to say, "Also, they're not like the people who you ran with, they're like me... naive I suppose but at least we're going to try and do something."
With that Amorite left, slamming the door on his way out. It was cold out there, but for Lee, it was probably colder in the house.
