A wave of roaring and screams echoed down through the ranks to where Icos was as the Anarchists sprang from the flank and onto the Thelotians, engaging in close combat that the Thelotians weren't prepared for. A couple managed to fish out a bayonet while others simply reached for their revolver, either way the sides were soon engaged in bloody combat that was only pushed more to chaos as Krazny cut through armor and scattered troops.
Thelotian troops had long stopped training with swords, spears and other old weaponry in favor of the gun, which under most circumstances had worked out very well... expect now, of course. If it wasn't for the actions of some competent officers they might have lost dozen more troops. The officers pulled the troops who weren't engaged in combat back a couple of feet and formed a wall of soldiers before ordering them to pick their shot and bear down onto the flanking Anarchists.
"Oh gods!" One of the young soldiers cried as he watched Krazny move towards them. If they didn't stop Krazny here the Thelotian push would be stopped dead.

Over on the other side of the battle, where less actions was happening, a middle management level Rebel was escorting some citizens out of the area. All was going well until he was in an alley way, when he heard a slight sound of metal flying though the air. He quickly ducked low and avoided the knife that was thrown at him. He then turned around and saw a man standing there with a white mask. He walked over and revealed a long metal pipe, about the same length as the man "You guys let the Zau handle this!" Zau (Mother was kinda drunk when she named this loveable bastard) said, as he pulled out a revolver. The mask man then swung his pole at Zau's hand and knocked it out of the way. Zau then pressed his hand against the brick wall, and used his power to transfer the rocks over his body, and made rock armor to fit him, and his fists. "No one ever told you that the Zau was rock hard." He said as he swung a fist at the mask man, and hit him in the face, breaking part of it off, revealing . The mask man then tossed the pole at Zau, making Zau use both of his arms to cover his face. The mask man ran up to Zau, and then delivered two straight punch right at Zau's pecs, shattering the armors and sent him back into the wall, breaking part of it from the force, and knocking Zau out. The mask man then picked up the knocked out man and stuffed his body into a large trash can. He then walked over to the wall and pulled out his dagger. He then signed and turn around as he put it away.

Hana stumbled against scared bodies as the armored cars pulled up. Three big, gray moving beasts carrying death and screeching to a stop. Her voice got lost in the crowd and her command fell short. Grateful, was she, for the demanding voice that pulled her out of the sea of flesh and forced them into position that could only belong to the fellow fair-haired Kranzy. She had barely had time to gather her wits before the sudden first wave of hell came and-much to her amazement- everything seem to move on a ultra speed.
She sprung from the group but sheathed her sword. Hands extended and never stopping, she rushed to the cars with the rest of the Mana users and waited to see if they would need assisting with the one car before turning the the third.Hana jumped back as Krazny engulfed himself in flames and barring an uncanny resemblance to what she would only call a 'baby' dragon.
Bring a hand up to her eyes to shield from the flames, she drew back a few steps. Instinct told her to dose him with her ice, but she forgo that thought and went with a better plan. All in all, she wasn't expecting to see a huge car suddenly melt into two separate pieces and felt a little amazed if not flabbergasted..
She shook her head and held up her palms, pushing forward as she blasted neon lit ice s from her palms, as thick as an ocean wave clashing against the shore and as cold as dry ice against the last armored car. The vehicle quickly became buried under a thick wall of solid ice, shinny and glittery in the heat of the sunlight. She turned on her heel and pulled out her sword and fell in suit with the Rebels as they clashed, sword to sword, knife to knife against each other.
Two sides screaming for the others blood and both being shed. She danced around a Thelotian, sword balanced perfecting and dodged his first strike before spinning on her knee and whipping her blade around. The blade caught his arm and paired with the cold and the sharpness of the blade, his skin went from blue to cutting off his hand completely. She wasted no time and took one step forward, plunging her sword into his heart. His body went pale and his lips went from all the cool shades to turning frozen like a body which had been frozen for a while.
Stepping over the body like it was merely just a pebble in the grass, she backed up a rebel as they fought against a persistent Thelotian determined to stay alive.

Post by Minno Elray on Feb 27, 2015 19:00:17 GMT
The gunfire started abruptly - suddenly, but at the same time all at once. It didn't take long after the first shot ( and possibly the loss of a youth near the front or veteran shaped so much with battle). Rather then let that truth disarm her and distract her mind from the current objective, Minno slipped her hands in her pocket as the screams of war and revenge and passion and anger boomed through the air. She quickly pulled out an ear piece - a metal temple stretching the side of her face. As if the gunfire fueled the device orange holographic lens drew up in place over her eyes. She could see everything in harmony around her - the running of the soldiers, the wrong way some decided to hold their rifles - possibly what would result in their death - and even, with her own experience, the anticipation of HOW they would fight and react. Everything was a chain. Whether the chain was linked together would determine whether or whether not rage and 'justice' usurp the throne of purpose. This was what the Government about. People wanting to kill other people and get some dominance over others - trigger happy men disguised and children. What happened to the love for Thelotia? What happened to honor and dignity?
The thoughts only made her mind hesitant about firing her weapon. Lee was on the other side ... and so was she at one point. She decided to void the idea of him being shot down and laying in some corner bleeding to death. That would distract her, but wasn't she already so gone at this point. As if feeling the hesitance had been a poison in her veins, the soldier in Minno kicked in. She would follow the rules. It was her job and duty to restore order and things were out of order. She ran forward, finding no purpose in staying in the back. She could either be a fool and trigger happy, an aggrivator and avenger, or a soldier and a martyr. The last option seemed best and she could do it.
Icos had moved in the opposite direction - avoiding the immediate fire so heavily directed on the Thelotians. Fear was an emotion best held back ... or at least demoted into nothing. She was trained well at that. Conceal fear. Suppress doubt. React with the mind and body. Be one with the flow. Be the one with the gun. Her brother went by those words and she, too , would follow that same path. They'd served her well and there was no way she'd back down now. Gun fire rained around her - hitting one young boy in the throat and another in the leg - sending him tumbling to the ground. Mercy prevented his death as a few soldiers dragged him to safety. They were getting demolished. Dead bodies were scattered about like toys in a pre-school. There were more wounded. Minno offered multiple gun shots - hitting many in the hands - easy to disarm them and enable them for gripping a gun for a while. Other's received shots to the face and head - ruining their chances of doing anything again. Her holographic shades locked on to far away targets and her precision was spot on. She could see the victims receive to each place she aimed - heads, hands, chests, necks, and even tender little eyeballs. It was difficult, but she let herself think that she was doing them a mercy. If Decode were there, certainly there'd be a lot of dead rebels but her influence would lead to dead soldiers. Perhaps it was better that the psychotic vixen hadn't showed herself and merely wasn't invited. Minno attempted to take back the ideas in fear that the woman would appear out of no where and provide immediate discomfort, death, and agitation.
An unexpected wave of Anarchists joined the rally sending destruction and death where ever they felt it deserved and that was everywhere. These men didn't hold guns but were using martial arts and swords. Why hadn't she seen that coming? Were the Rebels and Anarchists not hand in hand? It was hard not to imagine this happening without the other and she had simply overlooked it. If that didn't trouble her, she doubted anyone here - with the exception of a few - were that versed in hand-to-hand combat.
Men came at her with blades and fists, swiping at her and jabbing at her - desperate to hand a hit. Many were close. They were well trained; however, Minno had been at it longer and harder. She knew things that they did not and if her life depended on it, she refused to allow her knowledge to die with her. Both fists punched those that came at her. Her body moved like a in a barrage of shoves, kicks, punches, and headbutts. She'd be lying if she said she not once got hit. None brought her to her feet and none broke anything. They would bruise later - like the curved punch she'd received on her left jaw. The swords were rather difficult. She wasn't as fluent in the way they could be used, but she was decent. Decent enough to slice open a few people who didn't expect her. Another moment she briefly wished Decode would arrive through some magical portal.
A startled soldier caught her eye. Horror was plagued on his face as an opposing man appeared. She couldn't tell who he was, but he was against her people and only death would stand against her. Like a charging bull but smaller and more agile, Minno pushed through the crowd. Zipping through attacks that resulted in anarchists having their little necks broken or being shot from under their jaw, Minno had a goal. She pulled a dagger out of anarchists hand, dirtying the weapon with the woman's blood, before storming up to Krazny.
If they wanted to win, they would have to fight both the Anarchists and the Rebels. The rebels were an easier match for now ... but the Anarchists had an unfair advantage. Destroy that advantage and damage the Anarchists - a step closer to where they needed to be.
Nearing the soldier and the dangerous man, Minno smashed into the soldier - throwing him somewhere a way from the harm he was in. As quick as the impact occurred, she'd thrown the dagger and drawn her gun towards the man. The Anarchists had to end right now.
Aiming her weapon at the man, Minno frowned. "Its a pity that you all are here. It has caused a problem for all of these people here. I like to negotiate because I care about my people. Now, you have seen people have died and so have I. I don't like seeing it, but we don't have a choice. I do not know what rank you hold, but certainly you'd like to end this all by giving us what we need. It would be quicker and I can assure no one else has to die. If you deny ... I'm obligated to shoot at you and/or kill you," Minno spoke cautiously. She was never supposed to speak to the enemy but so many were already dying from a stupid order Captain hood had gave out. She needed to take matters in her own hands at least for a moment. For a moment an idea came to her. They needed to infiltrate ... They needed to get in. Finding the hostage was the goal ... what if ... she offered herself as a hostage. Of course, she wasn't the sole bargaining chip. There would need to be someone of great importance to seal the deal if she could convince him. Perhaps adding Icos in would make things slightly successful.

Agent Andriano had kept to the shadows and following swiftly behind Yuri as the man moved deeper into Rebel held territory. "What are you up to...?" He muttered as the Agent slipped his revolver out in one hand and his phone in the other, whatever Yuri was up to Andriano wanted proof of it all. From the moment Lawrence and Andriano had entered that church they were sure things were being hidden. Clicking on the camera he watched as Yuri wiped the floor with the Rebels and leaving Andriano completely dumb founded.
Andriano tried to hide behind a dumpster as Yuri went to work, trying avoid being spotted by whatever the fuck this man was...
Meanwhile, Icos pressed forward with the countless number of Thelotian troops. Minno had all but vanished from his sight as she went towards the front line to regroup the scattered Thelotians. Icos made it close enough to see one armored car ripped in half and another filled with water while what appeared at first to be Ataxia rampaging through the streets. But it was't, Icos distinctly remembered what Ataxia looked like in his monstrous form and that wasn't it.
"How many are there...?" Icos muttered to himself as a bullet snapped up against the wall to his right. Icos stumbled back into a door and fell into an abandoned shop. "Shit... I'm too close..." Icos cursed as he realized his close he was to the front line. It was too dangerous to go back into the streets, so Icos did exactly what he was supposed to do as IIA - observe and discover. He raised his phone up and simply started video taping the brutal fight. Perhaps a little footage might awaken Ellusians and Thelotians to exactly what was going on here...
Up the streets and towards the Rebel held position the larger force of Rebels started to move. Having been engaged on two other streets the scouts gave rough estimates to which had the most armor and men. The decision had been made and the Rebels were focused on breaking right through the weakest government forces with overwhelming force. The Government was expecting them to try and hold onto the streets... they weren't expecting what was coming.

The vicious fire and water attacks done on the armored vehicles and those around them were startling, terrorizing to many of the younger Thelotians who had very rarely or never before encountered mana attacks and what they could do. For the Overwatch it was no different and as they scattered Lawrence heard the mumbled screams of his higher-ups yell out at them to regroup, regroup, regroup.
The proper response from Lawrence was supposed to be him joining in the yelling, to scream down at this group to get back together, reform, and attack...something! Presumably the rebels and anarchists that burst in on the scene but Lawrence frantically eyed the military skittering about with them and again cursed the situation. His time to command anything was up in an instant as his attention was pulled by the flanking swordsmen. He was shoved to the side by someone who aggressively shot at the nearest one which was more than fine with Lawrence as he hopped back, uttering more curses under his breath as the man was cut down only moments afterwards. A barrage of bullets poured into the anarchists and to Lawrence the scene was more chaotic than he'd ever imagined it would be. He continuously stepped backwards and away from the exchange, back behind the strong line that formed to fire ahead at the enemy.
In the confusion Lawrence found himself, much like many of the others at his side, startled by the vicious encounter. He just needed a moment to gather himself, to figure out where he was in the middle of where everyone else was. Maybe he didn't need to follow through entirely with storming the scene, perhaps he had a chance to redirect some of the Overwatch somewhere where they could work more effectively...
He hugged close to wall perhaps a bit too much, though the dark-haired Overwatch agent kept glancing behind him he missed seeing a person hiding in one of the shops and one wrong shuffle of his feet caused him to trip right over their boots and backwards onto his backside. Frantically he'd raised his weapon, fearing the worst for him now that he was left in a vulnerable position and glared as he looked right up at, of course, Icos El-Elron. These two were like magnets. Really unfortunate ones.
"You asshole!" Lawrence immediately snapped, despite his own clumsy footwork he had no problem blaming the Imperial for it. Even where he sat he saw an opening in the fray and fired out a few bullets, soon after springing himself back to his feet. "You always got a way to ruin my life!"

Icos had just tripped inside the shop when something else tripped right over his feet and collided onto the floor. Unsure if it was some Soldier or Anarchist, Icos slipped his revolver out and centered it right on the person and... what do you know, it was Lawrence. "Oh... it's you." Icos muttered, lowering the gun a bit. "I'm not doing anything to you, dammit. It's them shooting at you!" Icos cursed as he pulled himself up before positioning himself away from the window where he was a wide open target.
The front lines had broken into a violent fight as the Anarchists tried to break the lines. Icos had to admit how impressed he was at how the Thelotians had yet to break yet, in fact he dared say the Anarchists were the ones being broken. Icos spotted two Thelotians wrestle down an Anarchist and smash his face with their boots while another Soldier's entrails had been spilled across the pavement by the cold steel of an Anarchist's blade.
Nobody was actually winning.
"Fuck..." Icos whispered to himself as he peered back from the window. "It's really bad out there. What are you going to do?"

As well as Agent Andriano tried to hide, Yuri noticed something out of the corner of his eye. While it could have been nothing, to protect the church's reputation, he had to have make sure there were no witnesses. Yuri walked over towards the dumpster, and noticed Zau's revolver, and picked it up. He pulled the hammer back, and ran towards the sound, ready to fight and kill whatever was around the dumpster.

"Being here, being an ass, and not telling Hood where to shove it! That's what you're doing!" Lawrence grumbled loudly as he hugged the doorframe. He reloaded and unleashed a couple more bullets out into another opening before falling back again. Truthfully he had no idea what he even should do. Following orders was just as dense as breaking them by this point.
Lawrence bit down on his lip. As angry as he was at Icos the man did start turning some of the gears in his head at least. Here he was in a shop that had at the very least a passage up to an upstairs storeroom or...office or something that could take them on higher ground. If his guys were nearby enough maybe some would follow...?
He dug into his coat pocket and whipped out a small, metal flask. Even with the snapping of bullets happening in every which direction around them he gave the faintest content grin as he took a quick swig from it.
"First, I'm going to drink this delicious scotch on the job and stick it to my boss. Thanks, Elray," Lawrence was sarcastic in his giving thanks loudly to the first scapegoat that came to his mind to blame. Stupid Presidential Guard and their stupid...
"Secondly, I'm going to..." he paused to take another swig, gave the flask a shake and then shook it in Icos's direction as a silent offering. If he was going to enjoy one final drink in his life he might as well share it with the guy he spent the most memorable parts of his life with.
"Secondly, I'm going to yell at everyone who gives a shit to listen to me and then we're going to find a way to do Overwatch the right way. Which will probably involve sneaking around sniping bitches and causing more collateral damage that Hood also won't care about, but this is me sticking it to him, too.
Thirdly, I'm probably going to get fired and dishonourably discharged, so that's fucking great. I'll have a party to commemorate it. But at least I'll have taken down a shit ton of these stupid Rebels and Anarchists with me. You get me?"

Icos gave a weak smile at Lawrence's comments, the man was a well payed Overwatch who had never seen this type of fighting before, Lawrence didn't belong here. Yet, all considering, he seemed to be handling it pretty well. Competently too, Icos had debated suggesting such thing to Lawrence (which would have been breaking his vow to avoid being involved with either side) but Lawrence seemed to have given it a fair amount of thought without any suggestion by him.
He caught the scotch and brought the small canteen to his lips, taking down the strong liquor before giving a small shake of his head. "Haha, if they sack you after this I'll personally make sure you've got a job in Ellusia." The idea of having Lawrence working in the palace was... well, not that appealing. Perhaps a part of the palace far away enough to avoid fights... and far from the kitchens, too. "Keep that common sense going and you'll surely get through this in one piece." With one last glance outside Icos tossed the drink back. Icos couldn't go with him, no matter how badly he wanted. Giving a dead serious look Icos spoke, "They're scared out there, Lawrence. They all are. Command with such strength that your allies will feel obliged to follow while your enemies shiver with such tremendous fear that they'll break in droves."

Agent Andriano had a split moment to decide what to do as Yuri advanced on him. None of this was right, Yuri wasn't who he was saying he was and Andriano feared for his life. Standing from the shadows Andriano brought his weapon up and aimed it towards Yuri, "Don't move, Yuri!" Andriano ordered as he moved forward, twisting his body to the side as he feared what Yuri would do. "I don't want to shoot you."

As Yuri heard the voice of Agent Andriano, and his plea, Yuri aimed his pistol at Andriano. "I don't want to kill you. However we are at a point of time where personal desire can no longer be factors for what must happen. I gave you, your troglodyte of a partner, and your entire government the chance to help us. However, you wasted our time. We will not wait by idly as you wage your little war, and sacrificing our leader is just but a cost for you that you can excused for greater good of your corruption. We need the Holy Father Numen back, and we will do what you lacked to do." Yuri said plainly, majority of his face was still covered by the mask. While his hand on the revolver and was aimed at the agent, his other hand was reaching for his dagger that was tucked in the back of his pants. "Ignorance is bliss, Agent Andriano. You stumbled into the truth and your death." Yuri said as he fired some shots to the left of Agent Andriano, and then pulled out the dagger, and threw it at where the agent would mostly likely head to avoid the bullets.

Yuri had went from the weird, silent guy to some deadly assassin in a matter of moments. The sound of bullets being fired and the snapping sound as it flew right beside him caused Agent Andriano to move to his right in an effort to dive for cover. As he dived he lifted his revolver up and squeezed the trigger, firing a shot or two back at Yuri just as the knife found its place, right in the shoulder of his shooting arm. The cold steel went deep into his skin and Andriano's dive to cover was quickly turned into an absolute stumble that ended with him colliding right into a pile of trash and nearly losing hold of his gun.
Andriano would have considered himself a man of faith, sure he had moments when he doubted the existence of some higher life form (he was a teenager when his mother died in a car wreck) but he always made sure it pray and attend church. Never did he imagine that those who called themselves servants of the Eight could be... such violent people. He shrugged the protests around the church off as the ignorant who truly didn't understand the words of the Eight, but what he was seeing in Yuri... was so very different.
"You bastard!" Andriano snarled as he raised his revolver back up, hoping to try and get another shot at Yuri.

As the battle was going on, the building in which the Rebels and Anarchists were hiding in was mostly empty... except for one giant sleeping elf. On a pile of old newspaper, Aldo was sleeping after he was fed up of waiting for Aetuis to give the order. He was having a nice rest when rumbling outside of the building woke him. He rubbed his eyes, and looked to see the battle... the battle he was missing! Aldo got furious and kicked out the window, as he let his body slowly get cover in metal. He then jumped out of the window, and landed one on of the shoulders, utterly crushing him from the force of it. Aldo then ran towards his group, making blades stick out, and slicing at soldiers as he ran towards the line. He finally got there, and then looked around for the temp leader, "Aetius, you bastard, you nearly made me miss this battle!" He shouted as he still walked in the crowd.

Drake was leading Ro when the massive battle broke out. "Ro, it looks like the party crashed us!" He said as he pulled out his knives and followed the flow of the crowd, while hooking the small boom box on the back of his coat. As the chaos was happening, Drake was having a good time, but he kept his eye on Ro, since he wasn't back to his full strength. He was having a swell time until he heard of a gunshot, and there was a loud noise like plastic breaking. Drake turn and felt his back pocket shot, and parts of his boom box not connected to any other part. Drake then pulled out what remained of his boom box, and saw it's shattered states.
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Drake shouted in despair as he fell to his knees.

Lucita was up on a fire escape having a large piece of plywood to cover herself mostly. She fired rounds after round covering her fellow rebels and the anarchists from the government forces, providing cover from any flanking. Lucita was reloading her sniper rifle as she looked though the scope and noticed Minno aiming her gun at a man. She gritted her teeth as as and unquenchable fury took over her body.
She took aim at Minno's chest and started to breath hard having flashbacks to when all of her group and her younger sister died from her attack. She cocked the gun and focused her sight. She then held her breath and puled the trigger hoping that the bullet would be the one that would end her life. However she forgot to factor in distance and wind, so the bullet was straying from her target slightly.
