Morgan opened his mouth to argue that no, it was he who actually put the damn coffee on.
But then that was when he tried to remember what exactly he all did after he got off of the phone with Hoch. His daughter distracted him for a bit and then he remembered shooing her away. Then he opened the laptop and stared at the clock for an hour and a half, then one of his idiot henchmen called...
Okay, fine, so maybe his wife bailed him out of this one again. That was her role, though. That was probably all the better, she would have actually remembered to serve something that Hoch wouldn't fart out later.
"Aye, I was! I started a new book," he answered as he spilled a bit of coffee on the counter. Eh, the cups were full, that was all that mattered. He brought them over to the table and then made a bit of a show to grab the large sugar jar from the cupboard and set it heavily down right in front of Hoch with a large grin.
"A drama that follows a man by the name of Eufriam Codseich, a big city police officer that turns corrupt as his wife is pregnant with their 'third' child, an unexpected pair of twins and they have not enough money for a bigger home. He struggles as he tries to decide between morals and being broke and dealing with family services that don't approve of the home they're living in as it's unfitting for their children! But does this man know the streets and gangs well enough to get involved without getting shot down? I don't know, I just write things that come to my head sometimes..."

"Never took you for a novelist," Hoch said as he pushed aside the jar of sugar and drank the black coffee straight, he thanked Emperor that it wasn't disgusting before digging into the fruit he had brought, "But then again; you're a man with many layers; each one reveals something as powerful and different as the next. Much like an onion, which, by the way you smell like..."
He sipped the coffee once again before continuing, "Perhaps you should turn it into one of those day time dramas that house wives watch all the time? You certainly could fund it..."

"Oh, you charmer!" Morgan answered with a very sarcastic, high-pitched 'housewivey' tone if that even was one and gave the shorter man a light, airy tap on the shoulder with his hand. Had it been one of his thugs he'd have shot him for that comment, a thought that had him purr mirthfully into his coffee cup. Hoch was a lucky little shit, Morgan decided, a useful one too.
"I'll shower someday," he finally retorted after he managed to gulp down two-thirds of his coffee. By 'someday' he meant definitely before he ended up back in his office headquarters, which thankfully meant sometime today.
"So. Who are we axing?"

"Not axing, yet..." Hoch began, crossing his legs and crossing his arms, "I did some more research when I got back home. My people can trace them to a trading firm known as Ice'ly, they're a fair sized company with bases both in Proti and Zoi, so I figure they're smuggling mana into the city through them. Here's the interesting part; the trading company is RIGHT near the Imperial Navy Port, that place is watched by both Thelotian and Ellusian Armies, talk about right under the wolf's nose, eh?"
He popped a couple of the small purple fruits into his mouth, crunching down on the juicy fruit before continuing, "That's only where the rather odd things start. The owner is a rather plain Thelotian man, poor background, weak school grades and only minor infraction with the law. This is not a master of the criminal art and the fact his base of operation is one of the most internationally watched areas in Thelotia, well that move is smart and ballsy! I question the integrity of the information I received, not that's it false, but that's it's simply a small fraction to what it is."

Morgan had that tired, dull look on his face again as he stared at Hoch and actually, thoughtfully considered this information. He threw the idea of offing someone quite lightly, mostly because sometimes he found he had to to get to what he wanted. It was never going to be the big man, though. No no, he needed them. But this was, as Hoch said, very odd but as briefly as Morgan had considered it he had his priorities already resolved.
"Skip the owner. Does he have information on who we really need? Maybe. Am I going to beat it out of him? Nooooo, no, no, no," he shrugged, "I say we maim his little following a bit and scare the information out of him, just when he thinks he's next..."
Morgan couldn't determine what would come next. He just didn't work like that, it was too hard to plan something like this and stick with it. One step at a time.

"What ever we do needs to be appropriate in length of justice and time. We need to make sure our actions are either untraceable or so powerful that it'll halt any further movement against us." He added in the word 'fast' to make sure that was imbibed into whatever Morgan was planning; the fact it was so close to the Ellusian Navy base meant that any sort of violent action would call an excessive amount of force down.
He thought for a bit, tapping his foot against the end of his chair before looking up at Morgan with thoughtful eyes, "What if..." he began, doubting his thoughts for a moment before speaking, "What if we damage his business? In such a splendid way that he will watch his profits sink - what if we sink his transportation ship as it entered the harbor? So he can literally SEE it all sink to the bottom of the ocean."

He hated when Hoch came up with something that sounded perhaps as good as his idea sometimes.
"I like when profits literally sink. I have bombs that'll stick very nicely to the bottom of a ship."

Hoch never questioned his ability to come up with a suitable idea. While he didn't pride himself as a criminal mastermind, but it was simply a very close thought process to being in a legitimate business - both required swift action and the ability to temporarily deprive your morals.
"Excellent!" Hoch said with a clap of his hands, "I trust you can get someone to do this? You see, I'm not much for swimming and I think it'll be best if we have nothing to do with this... right?" He hoped Morgan had the same thought process. He prayed to the Emperor that it was so...

Morgan glowered at the shorter man.
"I don't mind questions, Hoch. But you know how I feel about stupid ones," he said it very calmly and smiled however, "I've got more men willing to do this than you have for nose and ear hairs sticking out your little face."
He then rolled his head back and burst into laughter.
"Oh, I'm awake now! Here, take my phone," he reached into his pants pocket and pulled out his phone and tossed it onto the table, "you're going to dial xxx-xxx-xxxx and all you're going to tell him is 'Hi, it's Steve. Brandon says we're gathering at the mall and you should invite your gal to come with.' Nothing more, nothing less, exact words 'cause I'm going to drown myself in the shower."
With an odd skip in his step he hurried to leave the kitchen, but stopped only at the doorway and gave Hoch a serious look.
"No, seriously. If you screw it up he'll think you're a cop."

Hoch lifted his hand to his nose as Morgan walked away from him, gently touching it as if he could feel the hair he was speaking of. Hoch was a well groomed man, most Dwarv Minors were! He hissed as Morgan vanished, leaving him to call this person and inform them through this secret form of speech.
He dialed the number and held it to his ear, the person picked up but didn't speak - Hoch imagined they were waiting for him to speak. "Hi, it's Steve. Brandon says we're gathering at the mall and you should invite your gal to come with." Hoch clenched his jaw as he spoke, waiting for the answer to come through. He just hoped Morgan didn't leave out any necessary information.

The answer on the other end was a very delayed one, almost giving the illusion that no one was even there at all. After such long pause a gruff voice answered.
"Steve? Ha! That's a new one..." he grumbled inaudibly for a moment then before coming back to volume, "tell ya what, Steve. Tell 'Brandon' I'll drive around to pick you guys up. You be ready in 15."
A click was heard and then that was it, Hoch was given an order from a complete stranger and then left to sit in a kitchen that would have been completely silent if it hadn't been for the ticking of the wall clock by the doorway and the faintest sound of...opera singing...coming from up the stairs and through the door to the master bedroom. Morgan himself didn't actually take long to get ready, and somehow in the fewest of minutes that he'd left he had managed to at least clean himself up save for the stubble--he'd kept that for his 'rugged' look--he practically pranced down the stairs in a nice, white suit, giant, gold-rimmed sunglasses, and a ponytail hair extension in his hand.
"GOOD MORNING! I'm Waylon Daves--Daves? Davis? Graves!" he announced with a confused, yet booming sense of authority and shook the ponytail up for Hoch to see, "I'm Waylon Graves, now help me get this damn thing in!"

Hoch simply stared at Morgan for a moment before laughing a bit; he had been around the man long enough to know all about his other identities. It wasn't such a bad idea when you're in the line of work as the two of them were, but Hoch merely felt no need for such extravagance - if the police wanted to find a rich Dwarv Minor it wouldn't take long.
Hoch stood up on his chair, with barely enough height he helped his boss attach the extension. "We'll be picked up soon, Waylon." Hoch said while giving a pat on Morgan's shoulder to let him know he finished attaching it, "I'm going to go grab somethings from my car and I'll be ready to go."
He hopped off the chair before exiting the house and approaching his car. His driver, a tall muscular man who stood silently until Hoch approached, to which he opened the door. Hoch climbed into the car, moving aside some carpet to reveal a small storage where he unlocked it with a key. Inside, he pulled out a fedora - because they're cool - and a six shot revolver, just in case anything went wrong. Hoch exited the car and began walking back to the house, only stopping to yell to his driver, "Take the day off. I'm getting another ride."
Entering back into the house, Hoch entered into the kitchen and leaned against the wall, "I'm all ready."

"Good!" Morgan grinned, adjusting his suit jacket and then leaning into the opposite wall himself. That was how they ended up staying for almost two very long minutes. At first, Morgan tapped his fingers on the door frame and tried to keep himself occupied while they waited for the driver, and at one point he even made a long lean outside of the doorway to look out the window.
He pulled out his pocket watch and even gave it a glance and then licked his lips.
"Odd. Never usually takes this long..." he gave a curious glance then to Hoch, "you told him we're bringing his birthday present, right?"

Hoch stared at Morgan blankly, "No, I did not. I just said what you asked me to say." He sighed, somewhat afraid to ask what he wanted to know, "May I ask why exactly adding that extra sentence would have produced any different results?"
Morgan was an odd guy, and that went with everything he did; from the extravagant codes to his various odd habits. There was simply no knowing what he'd do next.

"Well, the problem with that is uh..." he cringed a moment and gave an overly cautious look out of the front window now, "'Steve' is that code for the 'new guy' being brought along and the whole 'birthday present' thing is to let him know we won't have to kill you. So if you didn't tell him that part..."
Morgan turned his stare to Hoch just before he trailed off and did not wait very long for a reaction out of him before he laughed again and said quickly, "I'm kidding, that one's not even a thing!"
The new ride didn't take very long after that to reach them. Long, black car, and the driver didn't exit until they themselves showed themselves to the vehicle itself. It was obvious this had been done many times before as the driver opened the door for the two gentlemen to climb in and with a polite bow he greeted Morgan with, "Good to see you, Mr. Graves."
"Good to see you, too, Geoffry," Morgan grinned, gesturing Hoch with the wave of his hand to climb into the vehicle first. It was a very comfortable one (as it should have been, Morgan wouldn't have settled for less), black leather interior and a small varied drink selection for them in the back, though Morgan turned up his nose at it.
"Always poor choices, those guys. You have what you want if you'd like."
((I'm going to stop this post (not the thread!) now if you have anything you'd like to add now--if you'd prefer me to continue and expand it, let me know 'cause I can EASILY do that xD I'm just getting ahead with dialogue and figured if you wanted to throw your two cents I'd wait before I continued to write a little novel here haha))
