Natalia didn't want to sleep tonight, every time she did fall to sleep she would be haunted by absolutely lovely dreams of Icos that felt so real that when she'd wake up the pain of losing her friend would feel all the more real. So Natalia had left her apartment about an hour ago in a rather small black v neck dress that hugged all her curves and cut off high up her well built legs, she was stunning by any standard and her sun kissed skin gave her a rather exotic look compared to the very white Thelotians. Aside from the occasional scar that dotted her body one would have a difficult time telling that she was ever in any sort of fight, with her hair brushed until it shined and the right amount of makeup to pretty up her face, she looked like any other person looking for a good night, rather than a grieving girl who was looking to forget everything.
The building the nightclub was in was a rather interesting looking one, it looked smooth like stainless steal with small vines of LED light streaming between the metal to present a ultra modern look to it with shining lights and a large line of people waiting to get in. It was rather disgusting that these people were partying like crazy just a couple of streets down from where Icos was killed and it annoyed Natalia to no end. Of course that brought the question as to why she was here and that just made her feel even more like shit.
Inside the massive two story club Natalia found solace and isolation within the massive crowd of people and pounding music. The dance floor was absolutely filled with people jumping up and down to the music that slammed against the crowd in such a way you could feel the beat as much as you could hear it. Yet Natalia found her place at the bar, having already downed her seventh glass of vodka she was beginning to feel mumble off a bit.
"This is Acutus's fault." She mumbled to the bartender who was only half listening as he served everyone else. "He won't even speak to me. He's completely ignoring me, I mean... it's not my fault. Not really. I mean I didn't even see the bomb get planted and I was on that roof all damn morning... that means it was my fault." She gave a great, dramatic sigh as she set the empty shot glass down and motioned for another. So long as she could remember his name she needed to keep drinking.

A tall, empty glass sat itself on the counter right beside Natalia then as a short, blonde-haired girl approached. Unlike the average club patron she apparently was one of the few who would her empty glass up to the counter while she ordered a fresh one, and as she did so she leaned in and tucked some of her long, curling locks behind her ears.
Callie normally never would have dressed up and gone out but she really didn't have a choice in this sense. She wanted in this nightclub and the only way to be considered for entry was to show up in something even remotely dressy. That and if Morgan was out to find her she banked on him being aloof enough to not recognize her without her ball cap on, she wore her hair down tonight and it draped thickly over shoulders in large, full curls. Her dress was cute, a light blue, puffed out a bit around the knees which was just fine for her as she never really was a fan of the tight skirts--how the hell did Tanya wear those and like them on a regular basis?
She ground her teeth at the thought of the Flynn family. Bastards. Morgan and Gillian at least, Tanya she couldn't tell anymore if she was a lost cause or not, but the other two kids she felt genuinely bad for. What kind of lives did they live?
Coincidentally as Natalia was out here tonight to drown out the memory of a dear friend, Callie was trying her best to...honour the memory of a dear friend? He wasn't dead yet, at least she hoped. She didn't want to think of it. This club was something that Currie personally loved and had always told her 'I'm gonna take you out here and you'll woo all those dumb rich men easily'. She'd always made the excuse to not go, something always came up...she felt bad without him here. And yet if she didn't do this it felt even worse.
Callie didn't know what she wanted for sure, though she knew she didn't want to be sitting awkwardly in Fin's living room any longer while she yelled at people on the phone and waiting for a new place to live. Nothing seemed right but the blaring sounds of the music and a double rye in her hand.
As she waited she eyed the red-headed woman beside her, her appearance catching her attention immediately as everything about her contrasted with the black dress she wore. Trying hard to not seem creepy she tried to watch her out of her peripherals, barely making out whatever it was she was saying. Something about 'my fault' and she picked up something about a guy and Callie bit her lip, already slightly bummed and eager to just move on but something about how the woman carried herself at the moment made her curious. Giving a shit about someone else's problems might have been a really bad idea but at least while she was here waiting for her next drink who cared?
"Bad night?" she directed her question to Natalia then, turning herself to face the woman.

Natalia had rested her head upon the cool bar to help bring the heat burning in her head down a bit when a voice was suddenly directed at her. Honestly if she had to listen to one more word from that ridiculous Thelotian accent she might have to stab someone in their eye. Yes the eye, more precisely the left one. Except that voice didn't belong to a Thelotian, in fact that accent was as southern Ellusian as her's was. That caught her attention of course because it was almost comforting for someone so far from home.
Natalia made a small glance towards Callie which only help confirmed what she thought, if that girl wasn't from Southern Ellusia than she MUST be drunk and seeing things now. "Not the worst." Natalia merely said as her next shot of vodka was placed in front of her. She grabbed it and immediately drank it down like it was water to a man dying of thirst. "In the top ten though." She said as she slammed the cup down and motioned for another, "Wouldn't be so bad if my fuckin' brother would fuckin' listen to me." she mumbled under her breath.
Natalia felt horribly stupid even speaking to some random girl about that, but she yearned to speak to an actual Ellusian and not one of these colonial fools who let Icos die.

Callie nodded, taking the moment now that she had it to examine as many of the physical details she could on this woman. She caught the glimpse of the v-cut neckline of the dress, momentarily soaking in how the dark fabric hugged tightly to some highly flattering curves. With the dim and coloured lighting it was hard to make out exactly all of her facial features, especially with as little of a window as the other woman gave her to look into her eyes and see what she was about. She was built though, Callie couldn't mistake the muscle the woman clearly had on her.
"I uh...I would say the same about myself, I suppose," she answered, offering up a small smile as she watched the woman go through her vodka. Like Natalia, she found it quite comforting to speak with someone at least from the same country, let alone the region. Even though it was kind of stupid it was something that she really, really just couldn't help but...
"You want I'll buy your next one?" she said. She wouldn't offer it to anyone else, for sure.

Natalia thought for only a brief moment about Calisto's offer before giving a light smile and accepting it, after all she had burned through a great deal of her Thelos simply buying this dress. "Sure, thank you." She said over the loud music that blared away throughout the nightclub. Natalia finally gave Calisto more than just a simple once over the rather beautiful lady that stood before her, with the cute blue dress against her shapely structure, Natalia found it hard to believe she was buying any drinks.
With a quick movement Natalia brushed her red hair back into place before offering her hand to Calisto, "I'm Natalia. It's good to see a fellow Ellusian in all of this." She took a risk there assuming she was Ellusian, but dammit the vodka hadn't dulled her ability to pick out a fellow citizen yet. Whenever Natalia found herself looking at Calisto she was reminded of the girls that roamed the nearby city her estate sat by; tough and beautiful, they were as independent as any Ellusian man was and just as violent. Natalia figured she was feeling home sick if the mere sight of a Ellusian brought back all of those memories. She could even smell the sweet smell of Ellusian flowers in full bloom, that or she was smelling whatever perfume she had put on which she couldn't rightly remember what it was called anymore. AH, the vodka must be starting to work.

Callie took her hand firmly in greeting, giving her a polite nod as she looked up into Natalia's eyes. Strong and elegant were the best words she could come up with to sum up what she picked out of her in looks alone, her eyes were ones that showed a women who had definitely been hardened in her years and yet there was a softness in her design, a woman so lovely and rough at the same time.
"Natalia," she spoke and let the name sink in for a moment, "I'm Calisto." She turned for a moment to signal to the busy bartender to bring them more to drink before she looked back to the woman with as pretty a smile she could.
"In all of this being this mess they call Thelotia, you mean? Or..." she shifted uncomfortably, the bombing at the festival being something that she didn't feel quite like talking too much about if she could avoid it, "...Ellusia's been through a lot lately. I can't go home, so I too am happy to make the acquaintance of another Ellusian here."

Natalia knew exactly what she was talking, it was the first thing on every Ellusian's mind and the one thing they all wanted to forget. "This supposed 'civilized' city, the damn people who live in it and their extensive need to oppress their own people." Natalia's tattoo was on full display, the white dragon tracing up her hand all the way to her elbow and she didn't give a damn who saw it. If an angry mob wanted to attack her let them try, if the Government wanted to arrest her she'd love to see them try and throw a Ellusian in their little camps. She was convinced that the Rebels had something to do with the attack, the Government was to blame for poor protection and the Rebels for doing the attack. She wouldn't mind seeing them all dead.
"I'm heading back tomorrow..." Natalia said softly as she thought about the long trek back to Ellusia. She was both looking forward to being back home and dreading the thought as she didn't want to return home mourning the loss of a great person, she wanted to return home drenched in the blood of those responsible. "Even if it's just for a week..."
Natalia didn't want to speak of the festival, she was here to forget it after all. So with a quick glance over at Calisto and a small smile she tried her best to switch the subject, "That's a pretty dress you have. I've always liked the color blue... yeah." That comment sounded way cooler in her head.

Callie nodded, fully wanting to leap in and agree full-heartedly that Thelotia was just another shithole that got dressed up to hide all of its ugliness but Currie and Icos both in her mind seemed to speak more to her even over the sounds of the club. Thelotia was just like any city, going through a rough time, hiding something beautiful somewhere.
She sighed, then bringing her attention to Natalia as she pointed out her dress. Admittedly the blonde girl couldn't hide even the faintest flush of her cheeks at the compliment, though she already meant to remind herself that she swore she just overheard Natalia moments ago talking about some guy not talking to her and all that what she assumed was dating drama.
"T-thanks, um..." she answered, looking over Natalia quickly to find a compliment of her own to return, "I like the black. You have nice red hair, so it looks really classy."
Okay, really hers wasn't much better. Their drinks arrived then and Callie scooped them up, handing one to Natalia while she raised her own.
"O-oh look! Here, to us, the most fabulous ladies this city has ever seen...or something to that extent!"
Fumbling again the girl downed her drink instantly.

Natalia took the drink in her hands and took a mere moment to steady it in her hands before lifting it up, "To us!" She voiced before pouring the burning liquid down her throat. "Ah," she squeaked out before putting the empty glass down and closing her eyes tightly as if it would help the burning ease. Natalia had successfully broken her rule of no more than three drinks when her brother wasn't around, she found that every time she broke that rule she ended up doing something very stupid - nearly killing half a dozen people, smashing some guy's car after he cut her off, spilling nearly an entire bottle of wine onto the Empress's close cousin, getting knocked up and lastly kissing Icos, which was a story for another time. Honestly what else could she possibly do?
Perhaps just registering her compliment (the arriving drinks naturally took all of her attention), Natalia eyed her hair in the mirror over at the other side of the bar and gave a frown. For some reason her mind drifted onto the thought of why it was as red as it was and for a moment she couldn't recall if she dyed it or if it was natural. With a rather dramatic shake of her head she cleared her mind of those thoughts before giving an exasperated sigh, "I think I dyed it!" She declared before suddenly shifting her entire body over to look at Callie, "Are you with anyone? B-Because I really like this song and I don't want to dance alone. I'm tall and its awkward."

Callie laughed as Natalia announced that she thought she dyed her hair. Regardless of whether or not it was natural she enjoyed it all the same. The woman was fun, or so much as the alcohol in her told Callie. She grinned ear to ear when asked if she was with someone or not, though keeping in mind that she'd probably had enough to drink...
Callie took Natalia by the hand and gave her a tug to help pull her to her feet, eager to hit the floor with her.
"I'm with no one. It would be an honour to dance with--" her eyes widened when she saw that no kidding, the woman was at least 7 inches taller than herself, "holy crap, you ARE tall!"
She choked a bit then, giving a sheepish smile as she quickly spat out, "I-I mean that's really amazing, you're pretty and--fuck it, let's go!"

Normally her height never would have bothered Natalia, usually it helped her look more demanding and in control. Yet in a place where she wasn't entirely in control she really didn't want to stand out from everyone else, she just wanted to blend right in with all the people trying to escape something. Everyone here was running away from something and nobody wanted to be seen.
“I told you I was tall and awkward,” Natalia smiled as she carefully looked down to make sure she didn't twist her legs up and fall while using her free hand to keep the strands of red hair from falling into her eyes. “Thank you though.”
On the dance floor the music moved through the crowd almost like a puppeteer directing its creations, the music got louder people jumped higher, lower they calmed themselves down. So unaware of this fact and simply bobbed and weaved between each other. Natalia found herself wrapped within the ambiance just as much as everyone else, her groggy head swaying back and forth as the beat slowed and the bass went louder as her body moved almost like liquid, moving so smoothly and elegantly. Looking over at Calisto she gave the girl a small smile, it was funny how someone that reminded her so greatly of home could help her forget more than any drink could have.

She let go of the other woman's hand once she was sure she was safe enough to walk on her own, she worried a little more for her than she probably should but whatever. Callie couldn't help but giggle as she watched Natalia sway with the music, she was definitely more into it than she herself was. Callie wasn't much of a dancer to start, and even when she tried she...really didn't know what she was doing. Currie always made fun of her and told her to just 'move with the music' and as she observed those around her she found that doing such a thing usually involved throwing their hands up and around when the bass 'jumped' repeatedly and the lights flashed.
Of course Natalia was a little 'too tall' that she felt awkward but Callie felt the complete opposite, that she was too short to look natural. Maybe that's what made this so funny to her, knowing how goofy the two of them probably looked together. With that thought out of the way and knowing that if anyone had the balls to laugh and cause trouble they could easily throttle them, Callie threw her shoulders back and tapped her feet along the floor beside the red-headed goddess, content to attempt to match the pace and sway of her hips along with Natalia.
Before long she'd loosened up a lot better, every care she had about how they looked gone. To her, it was just the two of them, and Calisto's focus on Natalia and the mesmerizing way her body moved to the beat.
"You're fun!" she tried yelling over the music at some point, not sure if that was awkward to tell someone that or not while dancing but she almost felt like she needed to say it. She needed this, and somehow she felt that Natalia needed some fun, too.

Any conversation in a nightclub is almost, by difficult, going to be awkward on some level. From the lonely guy trying to compliment the bombshell to a drunk loser asking the wall for bus money, nothing in clubs are really ever truly smooth. Thankfully most people weren't that great in their responses so really they were all a bunch of idiots trying to act cool.
Natalia and Callie - despite all their Ellusian 'graces' - were just as silly as those Thelotians. Natalia laughed in a rather high pitch giggle as she spoke, "No, no, you're fun!" There it was, that riveting nightclub talk that these establishments were so known for. Suddenly Natalia put her hands on Calisto's shoulder and stopped dancing, "Calisto..." She paused as she leaned in... before dipping her head to the side and throwing up. What a beautiful red headed goddess she was indeed.

It didn't matter if it was drunken blathering, Callie was happy to be part of it. She felt oddly lifted even if this was to only be a temporary high, it was too good that she didn't want it to end. Yet when she felt Natalia put her hand on her shoulder she looked up at her, seeing for only a brief moment that twisted look of confusion and 'something's wrong' before her southern beauty turned and vomited on the floor. The lights on the floor switched colour as the music changed tune, something that made Callie glance around as the music started to slow in pace a bit and began to leave only lovers and drunken infatuated fools spread out around them. People around them cringed and gave the bile a cautious step-around and Callie was quick to swing her arms around Natalia's waist, pulling her gently away. "Oh shit. Come on, come with me and I'll get you to the washroom to clean you up," she said while trying to comfort the tall woman. The blonde-haired girl did her best to support her new tall friend/spontaneous date of sorts, creating quite a touching scene while she navigated through all the couples on the floor but for once perhaps they finally blended in like they wanted to with Calisto's arms hugging around Natalia as they left the floor during possibly the greatest love song of all time. It wasn't graceful, it wasn't what an award-winning blockbuster movie was made of, but perhaps it made it a memorable start to a potential friendship all the same.

It would have been such a touching, even romantic moment if of course that southern beauty wasn't cursing like a sailor, "I-I don't need to go to the fuckin' washroom." She mumbled, her breath smelling of a strong odor of whatever had been stewing in her stomach. "Just get me a shot of vodka and then EVERYTHING will be fine!" Perhaps she was fighting Callie's grip but if Natalia was she was doing an absolutely job at it. Instead she found herself nearly slumped against the shorter lady, cheek to cheek as she breathed the heavy disgusting odor onto her new friend.
"Oh, this is such a nice song." She mumbled a little bit, "We should dance together. You can lead and I'll just kinda rest." At this points her words meant very little and it was almost like she was falling to sleep right there. She picked her face off of Callie's and glanced around, "Where are we going?" She asked as if every word Callie had spoken had already been forgotten. "I'm not ready to leave just yet!"
