Hana stood away from the beach, her toes just sinking in the tiny stones of sand. She had spent this morning wandering around, through the market and through some parks. She found the beach and just stood admiring it. Now as the sun burned her pale skin and the salty air turned her hair into insane waves she surprisingly felt at peace. With moving water near her she felt more at home then ever. Though, it's not like water was ever moving on the service. But it gave off the same feeling.
Hana mindless scratched at her pink as a rose skin, wandering if she was going to built up a resistance to the sun. Probably not, Hana thought. Like everything else here, I don't work in this place. Crowds were fun to look at, but not a pleasant thing to be apart of. Hana as grown annoyance to their pushy Behavior and suddenly her 18 years of solitude did not seem so bad. Her eyes darted to the clutter of people. They walked normally in groups, soaking up the sun and chatting away. She was sort of biding her time. She wanted to go back to the stable, it out of all has been the most welcoming. But she felt hesitate. He could be bad, and she still wanted to give it time. If he called police on her, how long could they stake out a place with no sign of her presence? She knew she would go back, just not yet. Instead she let her skin boil under the rays and ponder temporary place to stay.

"You don't look like you're having fun..." A gruff voice suddenly spoke from behind Hana. The voice belonged to a much older man, he was wearing nice black pants and a white button up shirt, he had his arms crossed behind his back in a very military fashion and he face looking towards the beach. His face - the most unique feature about him was the fact that one side of his face was very much deformed, as if it were burnt.
He looked away from the view and towards the much smaller, younger girl he had addressed, "My apologies, you see, you don't seem to fit in," he gestured to the many families that were down a little bit from them, "Do you not enjoy Thelotia's grand beach?"

Hana twisted around on her heel, touching her toe to the back of her foot in one graceful swift motion. She clasped her hands behind her back, tense. She narrowed her eyes as they summed up the man. Her instincts told her to be careful, he didn't seem so friendly as he'd like. "It's a very beautiful beach." Hana replied. " Though, I could say the same about you." She continued, meaning to address his dressy attire. While she spoke she moved ever so slightly away, keeping her distance. It was a forced habit, one she didn't plan on breaking.

"I don't have the time to truly enjoy this beach," he explained, noticing her wariness the President gave a small chuckle, "My apologies for frightening you, child. I assure you though, I am not the beast..." He gestured to his burns on his face as he spoke, "The people who did this are the ones you should be afraid of."
He took another deep breath of the salty air in, being on the beach brought many memories flooding back to Darion; a couple of generations ago he, his brother and close to three-thousand other men stormed a beach to fight a war nobody truly cared about. His leg shook a bit, he could hear the screams of his fellow soldiers echoing deeply in his head...

"I bet the other guy looks worst." Hana commented, grinning only slightly. She wasn't afraid of him, not really. To be honest she was more afraid the power that exerted in waves from him. She muttered in continuance "If he is still alive." Just out of habit, more so, then anything. Her eyes darted to the water and then back again to the man. There was a far off look in his eyes like someone could in a web of memories. She felt awkward, should she walk away? The man didn't seem to see her anymore. Would he notice if she slipped away? Don't be a loner. A voice barked at her. But it's weird! She thought back, shielding her eyes from the sun as she sneaked a glance to the man.

It took a moment, but her words seemed to snap him out of his memories, and with a strong chuckle he turned towards Hana, "You've got spunk!" He exclaimed, "If I may ask, what is your name, child?"
It was funny, at this point normally people would recognize him as the President of Thelotia, but this girl was different. She didn't seem unintelligent, so perhaps she was a tourist or something.

Hana smiles, of course she would. She can't help but like being complimented. "It's Hana.." She spoke and then trailed off. She had to remind herself that her first name was harmless, after all she already heard the name being shouted to some kids on the streets. It was a simple, everyday, overused name. It would bring her no harm. Hopefully. But her last name, Redfern, was different. Luckily no one has asked for that. They seemed fine with her first name, and that is all she felt fine on giving.
"You don't look like you're planning on going for a swim...Wait..You can swim in there, can't you?" Her eyes darted to the water. She's never swam in water, so it seemed so new to her.

"Of course," He nodded, "Thelotia has some of the cleanest beaches in the world." He pointed out, as if it were some campaign slogan. "But no, for the sake of all the children here, I do not wish to give them nightmares," he said before breaking out into a great laughter, clearly amused at his own joke.
He settled down after a moment and glanced back at the girl, "Truly though, I only have about twenty minutes before they find me." He added ambiguously before quickly changing the subject, "Would you like a hot-dog, Hana? I hear they're pretty disgusting but certainly worth trying." He gestured over to the many food vendors over by the small docks, he was clearly enjoying talking to someone who didn't seem to know who he was.

Hana broke into a big grin when he started to laugh. It was a bit startling at first, but it was all in good humor. When he offered she looked a little dazed. Hot-dog? She knew what they were, but never had tried it. She wasn't stupid, she knew of the world. Just she herself hasn't had the chance to experience it. "If you like," She replies in a soft voice. She glanced over his shoulder to the verities of small shops and felt glad to have someone who knew what to buy. Of course she'd had to spend some of the money she brought with her. It was a pretty sizable amount, she just wanted to spend it on important things.

They walked over to the vendor, the smell of the beach was suddenly subsided by the overwhelming smell of fried food and the blasting noise of music blaring on the nearby speakers. As the President and Hana approached the vendor the man running it seemed incredibly starstruck by them.
"Two hot-dogs, please," he requested, the man mumbled something along the lines of 'y-y-y-y-esmr.president' before going to the back to grab the food requested. Darion turned back to Hana and smirked, "My name is Darion, by the way." The man soon returned with the hot-dogs, Darion took one and handed the other to Hana.
It smelled rather disgusting, looked even worse, but with enough cheese smothered on it, the food looked mildly tasty. The older man took one bite, swallowed it before asking, "So what brings you to Thelotia? I can tell you're not from around here..."

Hana followed him in cheerfully but rose a eyebrow at the server. President? Hmm...He handed them their food rather nervously, but Darion went on unnoticed. So she did, too. Hana smiled and looked through the condiments. "That's were you're wrong. I am from here, originally. I moved away when I was, little. What about you, lived here all your life?" Hana made a face as the red bottle coughed thick crimson liquid over her hot-dog. She dipped her finger in it and tasted it, finding it rather nice she poured a bit more. She picked a yellow container but didn't like the smell. Han pulled apart her hot-dog in bite size pieces. "Seems like a pretty tough place to grow up." She comments, glancing at the few happy kids running along the beach shore line.

"It was rather hard..." He nodded, his childhood was something too many children had to face in this city. Most people weren't even aware how much the lowest class was suffering...
"But I prevailed," Darion finally said, "I survived and managed to make something of myself." At this point, people around them were starting to notice Darion.

Hana, like most things, stayed oblivious to the whispers. She didn't care what others thought, really, if someone was nice to her she had them in her company. "So you're way of making this place better is to buy people hotdogs randomly?" Hana grinned and leaned against the dock's railing (assuming it has one...) "This place is bad, I'd admit that, but it could be worst.." Hana trailed off thinking of the history of their races and her own history. This place didn't seem like the hell-house her father made it out to be. Of course Hana only adventured into the sunny parts of it, there was still so much to see and so much that can prove her wrong. She took a bite of the hotdog and pushed away those thoughts. She'd rather stay happy then depressed.

"I'm a bit more ambitious then that..." Darion chuckled before taking one final bite of the hotdog, "I'm aiming to eradicate all entities holding people back from becoming great."
At this point there was a crowd surrounding the two of them, people exchanged words of astonishment before one foolish young man approached the two.
The young man grabbed Darion by the shoulder, "Hey, you're-" suddenly everything delved into chaos, men suddenly jumped from the crowd, grabbing the young man and hauling him to the ground. "Do not move!" The man shouted, keeping the young men down as more men arrived to keep the crowd from moving any closer.
"Mr. President," one of the security agents said while approaching Darion, "You're putting yourself at too much risk doing this."
"Relax, relax," Darion simply laughed, "Release the boy." The security reluctantly did as he said, the young man quickly backing away from the group.
"Ah, like I said..." Darion began, "I had twenty minutes before they found me. A low point to being the President of Thelotia, I suppose."

Hana's eyes widen. How could she be so stupid? When people start to jump out she moved back in a swift motion. She was tense, ready if somebody attacked her, But no one paid her any attention. At least not until the issue was handled. "..I see.." Hana replied slowly, eying the man as he scampered away. "President." She mutters more to herself, wondering how she could have missed that. Silently a voice wonders in her head. What does we want with me? If he found out who I was, wouldn't he have done something by now? She bit the inside of her cheeks until she tasted blood. She was a little scared, not that she would admit that to anyone. She knew better then to voice anything but to let things play out.
