While the yearly celebration of Mou raged on in the city - a holiday honoring the god of darkness in which people roamed the streets in extravagant masks to please their god - the Thelotian government was still reeling from the attack on the Godsend. Security had been beefed up, the military was set on alert and politicians from all areas of the city were calling for retribution. Truthfully, the stories coming from the train were a little hectic, some were saying more than eight dozen Rebels swarmed the train, others claimed it was an attack by the Skotadi tribesmen - one thing was for sure was that the government preformed well in defending the train, even if they lost some security and a little cargo, the stories of their heroism were already trailing across the city.
It was tradition for the celebration of Mou to extend in nearly every street except the Thelotian Memorial area. Because they believed the spirits of the fallen soldiers roamed the area at this holiday, it was preserved only for the families of those who were lost to enter the area. Which made it a perfect place for the President of Thelotia to call a meeting among his most trusted advisers.
Darion stood in front of the large memorial, tracing his fingers along the names of those who were etched inside of them as he waited for his advisers to arrive.
