I had lost Amorites' smoke trail along the way but In the distance I could hear Amorite talking to someone, I pushed myself to keep moving for they were just around the corner. "Amorite!" I yelled turning said corner, I saw the mercenary on the ground battle instincts kicked in and I trained my gun on her, just in case she moved.
The only thing that was surprising in all of this was to see Kri here, last time I saw him we were heading out to circle the building, and he looking even more tired looking then myself, "Do you guys have any idea where the girl is?" I said as I moved closer up to them, slowly to keep my aim steady.

Amorite glanced back at Lee, it was comforting seeing his brother have his back and given the fact they were about to be dealing with a lot more enemies it was very comforting knowing Lee could dispatch any small army.
"I don't think she has her, Lee! But really, this party is about to get crazy...!" Amorite said while gritting his teeth. From what he's seen this girl is by no standards weak, taking her out 'fast' seemed like an impossible job. "Here we go!" Amorite split off his left arm and used the smoke to fly right at the girl, the aim was a rather brutal one, he wanted her to breath him in so that he could disable her from the inside out. The burning smoke flew around her violently invading every possible space around her, it could be compared to hornets, really.
If his plan worked or not at the very least it would distract her. "Let's take her out!" Amorite roared as the smoke got more violent.
As Connor watched from above the little girl moved from the bed and quickly sat herself in the corner, a place she found rather comforting. Humming to herself in a language unknown to Connor she struggled to fight back tears. It was as if she knew what was coming; to the little girl it was as if she could smell death in the air. "Έρχεται γκρι" She warned, finally looking up at Connor with eyes full of fear.

While the dust consumed her I took the chance, I steady my hand on top of the other and squeezed off a shot , as I moved closer I pulled the trigger again, emptying what was left in my chamber. I knew sure she was going to find a way to escape, I continued to get closer to the storm, raising my combat knife into a defensive position, fully expecting her to burst out at any given second.

As Amorite made a move towards Adela, the mercenary suddenly pulled her Reel System into play, managing to shoot herself away from the group. Adela had made sure that she was moving backwards, over Kri's head, so that any attempts of a follow up shot in her direction were especially dangerous to his Rebel comrade. She had called out Kri's bluff and it had worked in her favour, earning her a curse from The Rebel as he felt his arm twinge again, it was getting closer.
Then he heard it.
Did he hear it? He wasn't sure, but all the same... He had this feeling tug at his gut. His eyes widened.
"I- I think I know where she is..." Kri muttered, before setting off in a jog towards an old gun store nearby.
He wasn't the only one who heard.
Not far from The Lost Path
A large, hulking, armoured creature leaped up onto a rooftop in a single bound, it's massive rifle in hand as it glanced across at the skyline. It just caught the movement of a human figure zooming up from the alleyways and into the sky before they swung down at high speeds, but that person was by no means it's target. The Stalker felt a pull of mana nearby, almost like whispered words... Those words, but in another language.
It let out a shrieking, high pitched roar before it set off towards The Lost Path in leaps and bounds.

Lee took off, leaving Hana sitting where she was. "Oh, okay then.." She spoke to the wind and gathered herself up. She debated whether or not to just sit here and wait it out, a option she would have liked to take. But the empty houses loomed over her maliciously and she wanted to stay no longer under their glares than she had to. Picking herself up, Hana stumbled her way down the path Lee took. It didn't take her long to come into the battle scene. Lingering behind, Hana grimaced as she leaned against the wall. "Did she get aw--?" Hana started and then cut off as a the shirking reached them. Holding her balance against the wall, Hana spoke with a uneven voice " What on earth was that sound?"

Through the scope I could see a lot of people converging and heading our way, several of them I recognized, "Oh good Kri is on his-"
Then my eyes caught the giant thing crashing it's way to us and my eye widened, "-Oh god that does NOT look good!"
I stuffed the rifle back into my bag and slung it over my shoulder, grabbing a revolver I used my other hand and scooped the girl up. I couldn't take chances for Kri and the others to finally decide they wanna hurry up, I ran back onto the hallway and began looking around for a fire escape: I feared if I doubled back I would run into big, ugly, and scary on the way. I also was tense to see if rope girl would appear at any time, I checked all the doors until I finally found one labeled fire escape near the back on the building.
"Hold on tight okay?" I said, kicking the window and stepping out onto the fire escape and began making my way down. "Keep quiet okay? We don't want the wrong guys finding us..."

"Damn!" Amorite cursed as the mercenary made her escape. He was about to run after it when his eye caught a movement, moving so swiftly that he could hardly believe it. In the distance he could see something large, inhuman and not of this world moving quickly towards one of the old apartment buildings.
"What the..." Amorite gasped as his eyes widened in shock, "Where is that thing heading...?" He asked as he glanced towards Kri who was moving in the same direction, "Where are YOU going!? HEY MAN, WAIT!"
Connor wished the girl to be silent and hold on tight and while she could not entirely tell what he had asked she held on tight to him once she got the general idea what he planned to do. Holding on just tight enough that it strangled Connor a bit but not with enough strength to cause any sort of alarm.

Climbing down the fire escape wasn't an issue even with the girl twitching around fearfully, what was the issue was the approaching footsteps of the massive whatever it was that was heading our way. I managed to get halfway down the fire escape before we finally saw what it was that was heading our way, my eyes widened as it came into full few and suddenly I was wishing I wasn't carrying a girl and a bag of guns at the same time.
"Oh shit..."
If that wasn't an inspiration to climb down faster I don't know what was.

"It's The Stalker.." Kri muttered as he got closer and closer to the apartment. "It's my own personal bodyguard, although it's not very good at it's job!" Just as The Stalker took another leap, one last leap which would place it right on top of the building which Connor and The Girl were attempting to flee from, Kri thrust out his free hand and with a burst of mana, he increased the gravity around The Stalker, bringing it crashing to the ground.
Kri dropped onto one knee and clutched at his bandaged arm as the sound of trucks filled with soldiers got closer and closer, but to make things even worse, The Stalker now lifted a large, armoured head and glanced in the direction of the Rebels, in particular, Kri. At the sight of the young Rebel, the creature let out a massive roar before raising it's rifle in his direction, but it shifted slightly to the side, aiming instead at Amorite. With a massive boom, the rifle kicked back in The Stalkers hand, sending a massive shell in Amorite's direction.

"What is it doing?" Amorite questioned as it aimed its gun at them.
"Why is it aiming that thing at me?"
Than that massive boom sounded and Amorite had seconds to react. "OH SHIT." Amorite cursed before using his magic to puff himself into a cloud of smoke, letting the shell go right through it and slam into the building in the back, causing the wall to crumble to the ground. "TELL YOUR BODYGUARD TO STOP. DAMMIT!" Amorite cursed as he focused his eyes towards the building where it was at... to see Connor with the little girl. "Oh my god, Connor is with the girl!"

"Like I said, it's not very good at it's job!" He growled as he looked across at The Stalker. Which was already taking aim again with it's rifle, Kri looked over his shoulder at Amorite before yelling back towards his fellow Rebel.
"Distract it! I'll go and get the girl!"
He started running around, hoping to circumvent The Stalker, but it still seemed completely disinterested in him anyway, instead opting to launch another shell in the direction of Amorite. Kri cursed under his breath at leaving his friend in as sticky a situation, but that girl was of vital importance to both The Rebellion, and in figuring out more about his own powers.
Meanwhile, above the whole bunch, Adela looked down on the situation with swords in hand, a disinterested look painted across her face. This was quite the development.

"Just hurry!" Amorite said while taking off in the other direction. That boom, the noise and destruction that followed... this was things that simply weren't natural to this world. Another shot came as Amorite ran into the streets, quickly using his smoke as the shell passed through and slammed into the building behind him.
"I pray to the gods that there is nobody in these..." Amorite wishfully hoped. He needed to draw the fighting away from the population... the air could always be a good alternative. Using his smoke he charged straight up into the sky, "Over here you big lug!" He mocked as he flew higher into the air.

The Stalker crouched low to the ground before it gave one massive leap up into the air, displaying a feat of surprising agility. It wasn't long before it was level with the flying Amorite, one massive fist raised into the air before slamming down in his direction, clearly aiming to knock him back down to the ground from which he had come.
Kri meanwhile was running in the direction of Connor and The Girl, waving his free arm frantically.
"Hey! Hey, guys! Over here! Just don't say my names! Like, don't say anything about my name!"

I would have breathed a sigh of relief at the situation, but unfortunately the kickback of the shells caused the building to shake...and as it shook, the nails on the fire escape came loose. I was continuing my climb when I heard the tell tale sound of a screw popping out of a placement in the wall. "Oh shi-" My curse turned into a yell as the ladder suddenly swung out into it's side, I yelled as it swung out and wobbled shakily. Quickly getting my bearings I descended down the ladder as I could feel it's weight beginning to rip the other screws from the wall.
"We're okay, we're okay!" I yelled to the girl on my shoulders as I moved down rung from rung as the ladder, getting close and closer to ground level. Until finally the last screw broke out and the ladder gave out, I shot my hand out to grab something: anything. I managed to grab a small pipe as the ladder crashed down around us, it broke our fall for a second before the pipe broke loose as well and I landed on the ground. Thankfully the fall wasn't too high, I made it down the ladder quickly enough before it broke off. Of course now we had the problem of things still chasing us, I unzipped the gun bag and grabbed out a bolt-action rifle and some ammo. Loading the chamber I held the gun with one hand, readying it, while having my revolver in my other hand. Ready to go.
I didn't bother asking the kid to let go of my shoulders, it would be just easier for me to carry her for now. At least until I could hear Kri yelling at us, I looked up and waved back at him. For some reason he was antsy about his name, that was fine, I was good at making up stuff.
"Oh don't worry, that's John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt. His name is my name too." I said to the girl as I ran over to Kri, now renamed John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt, girl in tow. "Can I leave you guys for like ONE day without trains blowing up or monsters chasing you guys?!"

Hana stood still with shock. The world moved around her like a slow motion movie, a mere spectator she played who simply couldn't catch up. Her sweaty hands gripped the hard wall as she stared at the monster above as it attacked her group. Why couldn't I move? She wondered as her eyes ached from widening so much. Out of everything she has seen, she's never seen a creature such as this. The world sped around her and the floor threatened to slip under her. Pull yourself self together! She shouted at herself but even that faded weakly in her head.
Then came the crashing sound near by and Conner's shouts. It took her a whole minute before reaction. She sprinted down to find the others. Hana was paled in the face and her hands shook with fear , however she was always ready for battle, while moving she mustered up two blades and ran to the nearest person. "What is that? What is going on?" She shouted to Kri, watching Amorite suddenly smoke up in the sky. Oh how this mission has spin out of control quickly.
